It's incredible. It's still under way at the moment. There are about ten thousand fans that have just taken their seats inside for what should be a major comeback for a girl who just eighteen months ago was diagnosed with breast cancer.

The place here has been buzzing with Kylie favor since early today. She herself has been here putting final touches on the show and last night she went through a full dress rehearsal. And she's told us it's gonna be the best show her fans have ever seen.

And talking of her fans Linda, how are they welcoming her back on stage this evening?

Well, I think they're pretty excited about what's in store tonight. The costumes and the set and the songs have been tightly guarded but I've just seen the first three numbers. She did two famous classics, Spinning around and On a Night like this, to which fans went off. They were just so excited. And she's also giving Austrailian fans a special treat performing a new song called Diamonds, a white diamond. It was co-written by the Scissor Sister and it's never been performed in the world before.

Australia must be very proud of Kylie, specially now that she's back up and running again and she's looking fabulous, isn't she? I mean, she's a big icon for your country as well, isn't she?

Absolutely. She's one of Australia's biggest stars and I think all Australians are getting behind her tonight although there's only ten thousand people here, I think everyone's reaching out and suporting her tonight, welcoming her back to the stage after having such a major break and facing such a tough eighteen months.

Yeah, it's a real milestone for her, isn't it Linda. It must be an extremely emotional performance for her to get back on stage when , you know, twenlve months ago she was thinking her career in entertainment may have been over.

Absolutely. She's been so excited about this all week. She touched down in Sydney only a week ago and has just been going through the paces of rehearsal trying to get back up to scratch. She said that she won't be able to perform some of her more complicated dance routines tonight, simply because she's got to abide by doctor's orders, you know, some of their guidelines, but you know, she's been such a big hit for Australians, and for fans all around the world .. So I think we're all happy to see her back on the stage.
